It s quite common particularly in houses where there are pets or people with long hair that your dyson vacuum cleaner brush bar can become jammed and stop spinning. Hi the brush bar of my dyson dc07 no longer rotates. Even if you push it all the way down with your foot within a few push strokes the brush is no longer in contact. This usually happens because the filters need washing or your machine is blocked.

The brush will not stay in contact with the carpet. The motor runs well and obviously the motor shaft driving the clutch belt is rotating all belts are okay although i cannot tell if the drive belt from the motor shaft is slipping or driving the clutch due to the clutch cover but assume that this is not slipping. Most dyson vacuums have a built in safety system that stops the machine if it begins to overheat. We ve had parts fixed replaced but nothing has worked.
